How to measure your head

We prefer that you measure your head in centimeters because it tends to be more accurate than inches. Measure several times to ensure accuracy.

step 1

To measure your head size where your hat will sit, gather a cloth measuring tape or a simple string.

step 2

Start at the back of your head by gently wrapping the measuring tape or string towards your forehead a half inch (temple area) above your ears. Meet both ends of the measuring tape or string at the center of your forehead above the eyebrows.

step 3

Mark where those two points meet and measure the distance between the start and end points. If using a string, measure the start and end points against a ruler to find your hat size. Use this measurement to determine your hat size. Hat sizes vary by style, so be sure to check the unique fit for each.

Women’s wool knit hats and caps in 2019 are a fashion must-have for ladies of all ages – young to forever young. Actually, knit caps been a must-have for a century. As far back as the 1920’s wool knit hats for women were a number one fashion choice. A women’s knit hat was always a serious consideration in the daily ensemble. The choice of hat finished the look with a head-turning flourish. Women would have as many hats as shoes in those halcyon fashion days. If you catch The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, the best written break out comedy about a 1950’s working mom comedian (on Amazon Prime), you’ll see Midge’s manager, Susie, always wearing a very cute wool fisher cap. Midge herself wears a black or dark color beanie on occasion. And her mom, who is a dedicated Parisophile, often wears a finely styled beret – which is probably handmade. Our ladies’ black beret is very popular among women of all ages. Our women’s berets come in a number of New-York-to-Paris colors. And our women’s fisher caps are sexy cute, with working-relaxing-thoughtful-artistic women look that makes you an independent thinker and doer.

Our knit hats, fisher caps and beanies are handmade (or hand knitted) by fair trade craftspeople. Each one is crafted from all natural, fine-grade wool. This includes the famous Merino and Sand wools. They look great, cool and sexy and are just so comfortable to wear. They’ll be a fashion-statement for summer time on city streets or rural walkways this season. Or for walking into restaurants, theaters, stores, clubs or any venue and turning heads, and maybe getting a compliment or two. Our Always in style and in fashion.
