How to measure your head

We prefer that you measure your head in centimeters because it tends to be more accurate than inches. Measure several times to ensure accuracy.

step 1

To measure your head size where your hat will sit, gather a cloth measuring tape or a simple string.

step 2

Start at the back of your head by gently wrapping the measuring tape or string towards your forehead a half inch (temple area) above your ears. Meet both ends of the measuring tape or string at the center of your forehead above the eyebrows.

step 3

Mark where those two points meet and measure the distance between the start and end points. If using a string, measure the start and end points against a ruler to find your hat size. Use this measurement to determine your hat size. Hat sizes vary by style, so be sure to check the unique fit for each.

Elevate Your Everyday

Want to elevate your look but keep it easy? The baseball cap alternative for days when you need to hide your hair or keep your look simple.

Best women’s (ladies) wool knit hats and caps – all natural, handmade, custom designs. Black berets (other colors too) to fisher caps and stylish beanies. Great low prices for truly stylish quality and crafting. Pass along from generation to generation.

Women’s wool knit hats and caps are a fashion must-have. Really, they always have been. As far back as the 1920’s wool knit hats for women have been an important accessory. Women would have as many hats as shoes in those days. If you catch The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, the break out comedy about a 1950’s working mom comedian (on Amazon Prime), you’ll see Midge’s manager, Susie, always wearing a very cute wool fisher cap. Midge herself wears a black or dark color beanie on occasion. And her mom, who is a Parisophile, often wears a finely styled beret – which is probably handmade. Our ladies’ black beret is very popular among women of all ages. And we carry pastel colors as well.

Our women’s knit hats, caps and beanies are handmade (or hand knitted) by fair trade craftspeople from all natural fine-grade wool. This includes the famous Merino and Sand wools. They look great, cool and sexy and are so comfortable to wear. They’ll be a fashion-statement for spring time on city streets or rural walkways this season. Or for walking into restaurants, theaters, stores, clubs or any venue and turning heads. They’re great for the summer as well. Always in style and in fashion.

We keep our knit hats and cool caps affordably priced, with our promise to you that we’re bringing the best quality beanies, berets and pull-down caps to you without high markups. Add to your hat collection at great low prices with our Kin The Label line.

Our online hat shop store is national, plus our roots are in San Francisco, so we offer our women’s knits and caps locally across the entire SF Bay Area. In San Jose, Oakland, Fremont, Hayward up to Berkeley and Concord. From San Mateo up through Marin and Sonoma counties.
